The Federal free meal waiver expired on June 30, 2022. The free meals provided to public schools for the past couple of years were a result of federal waivers. Essentially, the waivers provided meals at no cost to students, and school districts were reimbursed by the USDA.
As a result of the waiver expiring, Trenton ISD will have the following meal rates for Trenton ISD students during the 22-23 school year.
Breakfast - Free to all students
Lunch - $2.60
Free/Reduced Lunch Price - $ .40
