Trenton ISD, Here We Go!
Welcome back, students and families! We are excited to begin a new school year and look forward to welcoming our Tigers back to campus tomorrow.
As we start the year, we ask everyone to please use extra caution around our campuses, especially during morning drop-off and afternoon dismissal. With buses and car riders unloading and loading, please slow down, follow traffic directions, and watch carefully for students and staff. We also ask that all drivers use caution in the school zones and watch for the Red lights on our buses.
We also want to remind our families that our buses are at full capacity this year, which means some routes may take a little longer than expected. We ask our bus-riding families for your patience and understanding as we work through the first few days and establish efficient routines. If your child's bus is running a little later than expected, please know that we are working to safely get every student to both school and home.
We are also aware of an issue with our ParentSquare communication. The issue is on ParentSquare’s end and they are working to resolve the issue. Each campus principal is either posting First Day Info through ParentSquare or through their campus smore, so please be on the lookout for that information.
Thank you for your patience, understanding, and partnership as we begin this new school year. Together, we can make it a successful and memorable year for our students. #TigersTogether
Sincerely,
Jeremy Strickland Superintendent Trenton ISD

We want to extend a thank you to Bells ISD for partnering with us for today's event. It's always great when you can share an experience like this with other educators and we enjoyed spending the morning with our friends from Bells ISD.
The day started by having a great breakfast provided by the Credit Union of Texas. Thank you for supporting both of our school districts.
Our THS Cheerleaders and the Mighty Tiger Band provided a spirited welcomed that got put Tiger Pride on full display this morning as everyone arrived.
We also want to give a HUGE thank you to Ashley Day and Brittan Morales for decorating for today's event. Thank you both for supporting Trenton ISD!
We have one more day of preparation before we welcome our students back to campus! We look forward to seeing all of our Tigers on Thursday! #TigersTogether

Hello Tiger Families,
Communication is a vital part of the relationship between Trenton ISD and the families we serve. As we embark on a new school year, I wanted to take a moment and share the best way for parents to communicate directly with school staff during the school year. I know that oftentimes families have questions about a variety of things regarding school and we want to answer those questions as they arise.
The two best ways to contact the school is by calling or emailing the appropriate campus, or staff member. Whether you have questions about buses, lunches, or school supplies, no matter the question, we have someone to provide the answer.
ParentSquare, if you haven’t signed up for ParentSquare, please do so. We just rolled over into the new school year, so you may have to reset your password, etc. ParentSquare allows families to message school staff and ParentSquare will be the primary communication method to get important information to our families.
Facebook, we will share all the great things happening in our district throughout the year on our Facebook page for families and the community to see. Our Facebook page is only intended to share information, we will not answer questions via Facebook.
If you have questions that you want answered by school staff to ensure you’re getting the correct information, please email, use ParentSquare, or call the appropriate campus. When you call us, our amazing secretaries will make sure your question gets to the appropriate staff member.
We are also looking to develop an email list for families interested. Families on the email list will only receive information from the Superintendent’s office regarding important matters and events in the district. We will have more information on this method of communication soon.
Communication Procedures for 26-27:
1. All information regarding your child’s absences must be either emailed to the campus secretary or principal, or call your child’s campus secretary to report absence information.
2. Any changes to how your child gets home from school must be called in to the appropriate campus secretary by 2:30 pm. Parents may not email or message their child’s teachers regarding transportation changes.
3. Teachers will not be reading or responding to ParentSquare messages during their instructional/teaching time.
It’s also important to know that we want our staff members to be able to have uninterrupted time away from their work. In order to ensure that we protect their time at home and with their families, any messages sent after 3:45 pm are not required to be answered until the next scheduled school day.
We are looking forward to a great 26-27 school year and seeing all of our Tigers back on campus in just a few days! #TigersTogether
Sincerely,
Jeremy Strickland
