TISD Calendar Reminder - February Fridays
Trenton ISD will have a Cornerstone Ceremony conducted by the Trenton Masonic Lodge at 1 pm Saturday.
The ceremony will be held outside of the front entrance at the new elementary.

It's National Couselor Appreciation Week and Trenton ISD is blessed with three of the best! #TigersTogether
On behalf of Trenton ISD, it is with deep sadness that I share the passing of Julie Moran, who served as our Director of Special Programs since the 22-23 school year.
Mrs. Moran was a cherished member of our TISD family and she loved being a Trenton Tiger. Her commitment to providing meaningful resources to our students and staff made our district a better place. She took pride in finding ways to enhance the educational experience for all of our students. We will miss her smile, her laughter, and the warmth she brought into every room she entered.
The service for Mrs. Moran will be held tomorrow morning. We will have a normal school day tomorrow, but each campus will be adjusting class schedules as needed to allow staff members the ability to attend the service.
Our thoughts and prayers are with her family during this very difficult time.

Buses will be rolling two hours behind schedule. School will begin at 10 am this morning.
Middle school drop off will be different this morning. We need parents to drop students off at the front entrance of the building. Please enter from the South or High School side of the parking lot so we don’t disrupt the flow of our buses.

We have just discovered a major water leak in the middle school. The leak is such that we are not going to be able to start school on time tomorrow morning.
We have a restoration company on the way now to start the cleanup process but the leak cannot be repaired until tomorrow.
At this moment, school will start at 10 am tomorrow. Our buses will run approximately 2 hours behind schedule.
Please know there is a chance this will cause us to cancel school all together tomorrow depending on how quickly the leak gets repaired. We will update families by 8:30 am.

TISD will not have school tomorrow. Our buses still can’t safely navigate our routes due to the winter accumulation and we have freezing temperatures in the forecast for tonight.
Basketball games will be held tomorrow as scheduled.

Despite the sunshine and melting we experienced today, TISD will be closed tomorrow.
While the main roads and highways are showing great improvement, the primary roads that our buses travel, and our parking lots need more time to thaw out.
At this time, we plan to hold the school board meeting as scheduled tomorrow evening.
Basketball will now be as follows for the high school:
Friday - home vs Tom Bean at the regular scheduled time
Saturday - at Whitewright, times to be determined
Saturday's middle school basketball games are to be determined. Our coaches will communicate once we know whether or not these games will be played.

Trenton ISD will be closed tomorrow, January 28, 2026 due to the ongoing winter weather conditions. It’s still not safe to run our buses and we still have a large amount of ice on our parking lots, walkways, and ramps to our buildings.
A decision on basketball games and when they will be played will be made at a later today.
It’s also important to know that tomorrow’s closure will have to be made up, as will any closure days in the future. This makeup date will be announced once we have returned to school from this weather event.
We will continue to monitor conditions and work to make our facilities safe for staff and students to return. A decision about school for Thursday will be made by 2 pm tomorrow.

Trenton ISD will release early tomorrow in an effort to ensure our bus routes are completed before the winter weather arrives. At this time, we are also planning for a late arrival on Monday in anticipation of the accumulation expected and early morning road conditions.

School will be released at 2:30 pm. Our buses will be running approximately one hour ahead of schedule.

We are planning a start time of 10 am. Buses will run approximately two hours behind schedule.
Note:
1. If the weather moves in earlier than predicted tomorrow, we may adjust our release time.
2. If the accumulation is less than predicted and road conditions are good, we may have a normal start time on Monday. A decison regarding any changes to Monday's start time will be made by 3 pm Sunday but we are planning for a delayed start.
We are putting this information out now in an effort to allow our families as much time as possible to plan accordingly. We will provide district updates as needed over the weekend and communicate any changes as early as possible. Stay safe and warm!
