It's a Tiger Thursday!

Help us welcome a familiar face, Mr/Coach Orozco to Trenton ISD!

I spent my first 16 years as a teacher, Coach and MS/HS principal here at Trenton ISD. I also taught, coached and was the MS principal in Bland ISD for seven years. I spent 11 years as Director of Curriculum/Instruction and Federal Programs at Tom Bean ISD and retired in 2020. Upon retirement, I purchased and restored the Robinson home in Trenton and opened it up as a bed & breakfast and special events venue. After spending 34 years in education, I quickly realized how much I missed it so I became a substitute teacher here in Trenton.

I’m excited to return to Trenton ISD full-time as Director of Curriculum/Instruction and Special Programs. I look forward to working with our staff to provide the best educational experiences for all of our students. The Trenton community has been my home basically all of my life. Once a Trenton Tiger, always a Trenton Tiger! #TigersTogether

Help us welcome Mrs. Blair back to our Elementary Campus!

I’m excited to be a Trenton Tiger this year! This will be my eighth year in the classroom. I’ve taught a variety of ages and each one holds a different place in my heart. This year, I’m excited to be with the fourth grade students.

I’ve always had a passion for teaching. I’m joining a great team and ISD and I’m excited for what the year holds. When I’m not teaching, you can often find me at Disney or in the mountains fly fishing. #TigersTogether

My daughter, Riley, is 9 years old. Jaxon, my son, is 6 years old. My husband, Justin, is in law-enforcement. We love the small town and being active in the Trenton community. "

Help us welcome Coach Phipps to the High School Staff!

I have been in education for 30 years. I feel like I have done it all! I grew up in a family of educators and married into a family of educators. The kids are what keeps bringing me back year after year. Working together for a common goal and striving to teach kids excellence, persistence, and grit get’s me fired up and excited daily whether in the classroom, field, or stage. I am excited to be a Tiger for the first time in my career and look forward to being a part of the Trenton ISD family.

I have two kids, Landry and Jentri, who are working on adulting and a beautiful wife, Kristy who is a counselor. I will be the dual credit monitor, serving as the defensive coordinator for football, serving as the head powerlifting coach, and helping with track.

The people I know and the people I have met made me feel that this was a special place with incredible people. I always want to be a part of something like that. #TigersTogether

Welcome

Please help us welcome Mrs. Pitts to our High School Staff!

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Communications from Texas Tech University, where I gained extensive exposure to the agricultural industry and the many career opportunities it offers. Those experiences inspired me to become an agricultural educator so I could help students discover the wide range of careers and opportunities available within agriculture. I am passionate about preparing students for success by building their leadership skills, agricultural knowledge, and confidence through agricultural education and FFA.

I chose Trenton ISD because of its hometown atmosphere and the strong sense of community that is evident throughout the district. It is clear that the faculty and staff are committed to investing in their students both inside and outside of the classroom. I am excited to be part of a district that values meaningful relationships and is dedicated to helping every student succeed. #TigersTogether

Help us welcome Coach Kerby to our Middle School Staff!

I have previous teaching experience and have coached volleyball for several organizations in the Central Arkansas area, along with coaching multiple school sports. I grew up in a small town in Sulphur Springs, TX and recently married my husband, Cade, who is also from Sulphur Springs, TX.

I have family in the Trenton district, so I am excited to be back close to home. I am passionate about helping students succeed both in the classroom and through athletics, and I look forward to teaching 6th and 7th grade while assisting with volleyball, basketball, and track at Trenton ISD.

I chose Trenton because of its strong sense of community and small-town atmosphere, which reminds me of where I grew up. Having family in the area made the opportunity even more special, and I was excited to join a district where I can build relationships with students, support them both in the classroom and through athletics, and become part of the Trenton ISD family. #TigersTogether

Help us welcome our new Elementary Assistant Principal, Mrs. Kramer!

Education has always been a passion of mine. I have always loved children and was always drawn to the elementary educational field since I was in elementary school. I graduated from University of Texas at Dallas with a bachelor's and years later pursued my master's degree in Educational Leadership from Texas A&M University Commerce. I have 16 years experience of teaching in 1st, 2nd and 4th grades in Blue Ridge ISD, Princeton ISD and Anna ISD. I have been in an educational leadership position for the last 7 years.

The community & the staff at Trenton Elementary have been welcoming and I feel at home here. I have lived in Blue Ridge for the last 20 years and raised my children there. I have 3 daughters and 7 grandkids with 1 more on the way. Since I began my career in a small town, I am excited to get back to the small town feel here in Trenton ISD! GO TIGERS! #TigersTogether

Help us welcome Kasey Murphy to our Elementary Staff!

This is lucky year number 13 teaching for me. This will be my first time teaching 5th grade, but I have taught 7 years of 3rd grade and 5 years of 4th grade. Science is my favorite thing to teach with Social Studies being a close second. My passion for teaching comes from a genuine love for working with children and watching them grow in confidence, both in and out of the classroom.

I have been married for 11 years to my husband, Curry. I have two kids, Harper and Lochlann, who will be joining me in Trenton and a bonus son, Russell, who is a sophomore at Arkansas Tech University.

I chose Trenton ISD because I value the close-knit, supportive environment that a smaller district offers and the strong relationships it builds between teachers, students, families, and the community. #TigersTogether

What a week for TISD Cheer! They are heading home with so much to celebrate, and we couldn’t be prouder of these athletes and the way they represented our school. 📣 Both our Middle School and High School squads earned the Superior Award for their Game Day Cheer! 🏆 Middle School also brought home the Top Cheer trophy! 🏆🏆 High School is bringing home two trophies for both Top Cheer and Top Chant! They also recorded the Herkie award for showing outstanding sportsmanship! A huge shoutout to Jett Rushing, our very own Trent the Tiger, for being selected as an All-American Mascot! What an incredible honor and a well-deserved recognition of the energy and spirit he brings every time he puts on the suit. Congratulations to Freshmen Makenli and Senior Ryleigh for both receiving an award for their amazing leadership skills! These awards are the result of hard work, long practices, and teammates who push each other to be better every day. We can’t wait to bring everything we learned back home and get our community ready for Friday night lights! The 2026 season can’t get here soon enough! #TigersTogether

THS FFA members had a great experience at the State Convention this week. On Wednesday, our Trenton FFA members attended the Texas FFA business session and general sessions, where they had the opportunity to vote for the next Texas FFA State President. Thursday was filled with more general sessions followed by the Neon Lights Fun Night, where students voted for the Texas FFA Talent winners. Today was the perfect conclusion to an incredible week as we watched the newly elected Texas FFA State Officer Team be inducted. This week was filled with early mornings, late nights, celebrating achievements, building friendships, and growing as leaders. We are incredibly proud of our officer team for representing Trenton FFA so well throughout the week, and we can’t wait to see what the rest of this year has in store! #TigersTogether
