Hello Tiger Families,

Communication is a vital part of the relationship between Trenton ISD and the families we serve. As we embark on a new school year, I wanted to take a moment and share the best way for parents to communicate directly with school staff during the school year. I know that oftentimes families have questions about a variety of things regarding school and we want to answer those questions as they arise.

The two best ways to contact the school is by calling or emailing the appropriate campus, or staff member. Whether you have questions about buses, lunches, or school supplies, no matter the question, we have someone to provide the answer.

ParentSquare, if you haven’t signed up for ParentSquare, please do so. We just rolled over into the new school year, so you may have to reset your password, etc. ParentSquare allows families to message school staff and ParentSquare will be the primary communication method to get important information to our families.

Facebook, we will share all the great things happening in our district throughout the year on our Facebook page for families and the community to see. Our Facebook page is only intended to share information, we will not answer questions via Facebook.

If you have questions that you want answered by school staff to ensure you’re getting the correct information, please email, use ParentSquare, or call the appropriate campus. When you call us, our amazing secretaries will make sure your question gets to the appropriate staff member.

We are also looking to develop an email list for families interested. Families on the email list will only receive information from the Superintendent’s office regarding important matters and events in the district. We will have more information on this method of communication soon.

Communication Procedures for 26-27:
1. All information regarding your child’s absences must be either emailed to the campus secretary or principal, or call your child’s campus secretary to report absence information.
2. Any changes to how your child gets home from school must be called in to the appropriate campus secretary by 2:30 pm. Parents may not email or message their child’s teachers regarding transportation changes.
3. Teachers will not be reading or responding to ParentSquare messages during their instructional/teaching time.

It’s also important to know that we want our staff members to be able to have uninterrupted time away from their work. In order to ensure that we protect their time at home and with their families, any messages sent after 3:45 pm are not required to be answered until the next scheduled school day.

We are looking forward to a great 26-27 school year and seeing all of our Tigers back on campus in just a few days! #TigersTogether

Sincerely,

Jeremy Strickland

Help us welcome Mrs. Clark to the Elementary Staff!

Hello!! My name is Nicole Clark and I am beyond thrilled to be joining the first grade team this year at Trenton!! I graduated from Midwestern State University. I’m excited for this upcoming school year!

I really enjoy working with kids, watching them learn and grow, so first grade is going to be so much fun! I am so excited to love on a new group of students. We’re going to have SO MUCH FUN together, and I can’t wait to get started!

My husband and I chose to move to Trenton because of the school district, academic reputation, and close knit community. #TigersTogether

Welcome
Help us welcome Mrs. Perkins to the Middle School Staff!

I attended Texas Woman’s University, where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Health Studies. I married my husband in October 2020, and we welcomed our first child, Huxson, in December 2021. A couple of years later, I began working as a paraprofessional at a middle school, where I quickly fell in love with the middle school environment and discovered my passion for special education.

I enjoy advocating for students as they find their voices and helping them develop the skills and confidence they need to be successful both inside and outside the classroom.

I have two years of teaching experience and am excited to bring my passion and experience to Trenton Middle School. This summer, our family grew again as we welcomed our second child, Landyn. We are so grateful for this new chapter and look forward to becoming part of the Trenton community!

I chose TISD because I was drawn to its close-knit, welcoming community and the strong relationships that come with being part of a smaller district. It feels like the kind of place where everyone knows, supports, and encourages one another. I’m excited to work alongside a team that is dedicated to helping every student succeed, and I look forward to building meaningful relationships with my students, colleagues, and the Trenton community. #TigersTogether

Welcome
What an incredible summer it has been. Our student-athletes showed up day after day with great attitudes, tremendous effort, and a commitment to improving. The gains we've made—in the weight room, on the field, and as teammates—are a direct result of the work that was put in. We couldn't be more proud of the progress we've seen.

As we continue to move closer to the start of the 2026–2027 school year, remember that the expectation doesn't change. The Standard is who we are, not just something we do.

A special congratulations goes to Erik Morales and Carly Medina for achieving perfect attendance throughout our entire summer workout program. Their consistency, commitment, and dedication to improving every single day are a tremendous example of what The Standard looks like. We appreciate the investment they made in themselves and in our athletic program.

Enjoy your week off—you've earned it! Take the opportunity to rest, recharge, and spend time with your family. We'll be back together soon, ready to attack the season with the same energy, discipline, and commitment that defined our summer.

Trust the Process. Protect The Standard. Play for the Brand. #TigersTogether

Trenton High School Athletics Parents, The newest UIL-mandated requirement for all high school student-athletes (grades 9-12) is now available in Rank One. Tiger Families,

We need your help! We need all families to log in to Parent Portal, then complete and certify the Local Income Survey in Registration. We want to continue providing free breakfast and lunch to all students in our district but we need your help in order to continue this for our students. We are asking that families please complete this by August 3, 2026.

Our district does not do anything with the income information provided. It is also important to understand that you must Certify your survey in order for it to count. So come on parents, help us continue having the ability to provide free breakfast and lunch to our students, along with gaining the other beneifits associated with the CEP program! #TigersTogether

Benefits of the CEP Program Include:
Title I Funding for the Elementary Campus
Free or Reduced Rates for Dual Credit
Free or Reduced Rates for Test Fees and College Application Fees
Free Breakfast and Lunch for all TISD Students

Sincerely,

Jeremy Strickland

It's another Welcome Wednesday at Trenton ISD!

Please help us welcome back Mrs. Slough to our Elementary Staff!

I’ve taught ELAR for the past 4 years in grades 2nd-4th and this will be my first year teaching in 5th grade!

When I’m not teaching, I love spending time with my 4 wonderful children. Madison is 20, Ethan is 18, Kael is 13, and Jace is 10. They are my world and the center of everything I do.

New Student Registration is OPEN!

If you are new to TISD this school year, please get you child registered by using the following link and following the instructions included on the registration page: https://www.trentonisd.org/page/online-enrollment-and-registration

Students not registered will not be listed on a class roster at the elementary, nor will they be able to get a class schedule at the middle or high school campuses. This will cause multiple delays that we would like to avoid. Getting your child registered is the first step in the start of a great school year!
