TISD Families, I wanted to take a moment and provide a district update to our community regarding the fire investigation, donations, and school procedures. Fire Investigation: While the fire at our elementary school is still under investigation, I can share with the community that there is no evidence of arson at this time. We are still determining how long the investigation will continue and will update the community once the investigation is concluded. The district asks that everyone please continue to stay off of the property and away from the building. Donations: Our district has been overwhelmed by the show of support we have received from all across the area. It’s hard to describe how these acts of kindness have helped us get through this past week. While we are extremely grateful for everyone's generosity, we have reached the point where our students and staff now have more than needed to finish the school year. The end of the day Monday, April 17, will be the last day our district will accept donations of student/teacher supplies or materials. We hope that everyone can understand that our district does not want to take advantage of everyone’s generosity and collect more items than we need for our students and staff. For anyone wanting to continue helping our district moving forward, we encourage you to make a donation to our account at CapTex Bank by visiting any of their branch locations or contacting them directly at 903-989-2235. This is the best way to continue helping our district. School Procedures: As we continue to work our way through our new normal, we will continue to monitor our processes. We ask our 1st - 8th-grade parents to please take note of their child’s lunchtime. If you have to pick up your child for any reason, it needs to be either before or after your child's lunchtime. Congratulations to our Lady Tiger softball team on winning the 15-2A District Championship! The Lady Tigers have won the District Championship for two consecutive seasons. These girls have two district games remaining before heading into the playoffs. Playoff shirts will go on sale next week. #TigersTogether

Dear TES Parents, We are excited to be receiving all of our students back to school tomorrow! Below are a few important things we need to communicate: Students who bring their lunch to school will need to bring these with them in the mornings. We are having to bus students (Grades 1st-4th) to the high school each day for lunch. Therefore, we are unable to ensure that a lunch dropped off at the office will get with the student before they leave for lunch. Any after school changes must be called into the office @ 903-989-2243 by 2:00 pm at the latest. Drop off at the churches (pre-k & kindergarten) and at the middle school (1st-4th grades) begins at 7:20 am. Pre-K and Kindergarten parents may walk their student into their building tomorrow only, view the classroom, and then quickly say your “see you laters.” Starting Monday, we will need you to drive through the line at the church and drop off as usual. Pre-K - Trenton First Baptist Kindergarten - First United Methodist Trenton Pre-K and Kindergarten pick-up will begin at 3:00 pm. If you have students at both the church and middle school campuses, please go to the church campus first for pick up and then go to the middle school. Pick up for grades 1-4 will begin at 3:10. District Update 4/12/23 TISD Families, On behalf of Trenton ISD, I want to say thank you for a great first day back. As a district, we have been forced to make several operational changes to our school day and everyone adapted extremely well to these changes. We appreciate everyones patience with the changes to our drop-off and pick-up procedures. Please know that we will continue to monitor our procedures over the next few days and will make additional adjustments if needed. For our PreK - 2nd-grade families, we are working hard to get everything ready for Friday morning. We are excited to welcome these students back and have all of our Tigers back in class. We know Friday will look a little different for these students but rest assured that our staff will be prepared and ready to take care of our little tigers. Lastly, I want to acknowledge the amazing work our staff has done in a short amount of time to get our students back in school. Trenton ISD is blessed to have a district full of dedicated and passionate adults that consistently go above and beyond the call to take care of our students. While our hearts are broken over the loss of our elementary building, please know that we are more focused than ever on taking care of our students. We know that we are not alone in this journey and we are grateful for the outpouring of support we continue to receive. Trenton ISD Update Hello Tiger Families, I wanted to provide a quick district update for everyone in our community. Today, inspectors from the State Fire Marshall's office conducted their investigation on-site. The next step in this process will be to have an engineer come out and inspect the building before another investigation begins from our insurance company. Please continue to stay away from the building and off the grounds around the building. Being on the grounds or around the building may compromise the investigation process. We greatly appreciate the overwhelming support we are receiving from not only our community but from all of our surrounding communities. Tiger Families, Trenton ISD will remain closed tomorrow 4/11/23 to allow us one more day to finalize our plans for bringing students back on campus. After school activities will be held as scheduled tomorrow for the high school campus. We will announce our detailed return to school plan tomorrow. Our goal is to have everything finalized by noontime tomorrow. Tiger Families, As most of you know, the lower elementary building was damaged early this morning by a fire and the damage is extensive. While this is heartbreaking news for our community, we are grateful that no one was in the building or injured as a result of the fire. At this time, we are not ready to make a decision on what the school week will look like for our elementary students or the district. Our administration team is meeting early today to discuss our course of action and an announcement will be made later today regarding returning to school for all campuses. Please know that the building is in an unsafe condition and no one is allowed to be on the property until further notice. The district will likely be blocking off the road in front of the school for an extended period of time. On behalf of Trenton ISD, I want to thank all of the firefighters, and paramedics from surrounding communities for their heroic efforts to contain the fire. I also want to thank all the individuals who showed up to provide those fighting the fire with bottled water and towels to keep them cool. Lastly, I want to thank everyone who showed up to pray for the firefighters, paramedics, and our school. Throughout all my years in this district, we have always risen to the occasion when faced with a challenge or uncertainty. Rest assured, we will formulate a plan to take care of and provide for our students and staff during this challenge. The prom committee worked hard today and are very excited to see everyone Saturday night. Doors open to students at 6:00pm at the Hills of Luella. Please park in the upper parking lot. Professional photos will be taken for free and a link to download images will be shared via parent square after the event. All vendors will be free to students. We can’t wait to see you all dressed up for a memorable evening!

Tuesday's JV softball game at Wolfe City will start at 4:30 pm.

Congratulations to our following tennis players at the district tournament. Abby Casey finished in 2nd place to advance to regionals and the team of David Parsons and Aidan Gilmer finished in 3rd place to narrowly miss advancing to regionals. Way to represent guys!

Baseball Schedule Change: Baseball will now play a home doubleheader with Tioga on Wednesday. The games will start at 4 pm with game two being played 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one. #TigersTogether
