It was great having all our students back in our classrooms today! The morning started off with members of the football team and cheerleaders welcoming our elementary students back to school.
Our seniors got to start their senior year with a senior sunrise service.
We appreciate everyone's patience and understanding as we worked through our drop-off and pickup processes.
I want to apologize for our dismissal and afternoon bus route confusion today. As a district we have to do better and I know that we will get today's issues corrected.
We have already adjusted our plans in hopes of making tomorrow afternoon be better than today's experiences. Please know that we will continue to make necessary adjustments to our processes.

TISD IMPORTANT Bus Information:
Multiple families have contacted us requesting their elementary student ride the bus over to the middle/high school campus to meet up with older siblings in the afternoon.
Unfortunately, we cannot honor these requests. Due to the high number of requests it is a safety concern trying to add this many students on our buses and then unify them with siblings before releasing them to the car line at the middle/high school campus.
Parents will need to pickup their children at each campus. We will reevaluate this situation if needed after the first week or two of school.

It was a wonderful evening for Trenton ISD. We had an amazing turnout for both Meet the Teacher and Meet the Tiger!

New state law now makes it Mandatory to place a student in DAEP for vaping within 300 feet of a school campus.

Volleyball Schedule Update:
Saturday's scrimmage at Valley View is now a 10 am start time. #TigersTogether
On behalf of Trenton ISD, I want to thank the RockYard and everyone that participated in or assisted with the 2023 Back the Teachers Fundraiser.
This fundraiser resulted in $13,500 being donated to the teaching staff on our elementary campus.
It was truly amazing to see so many people come together at the fundraiser and support teachers from multiple school districts across our area.

Dual Credit Students - IMPORTANT MESSAGE
Junior and Senior Dual Credit students will need to report to school on Wednesday, August 16th (Juniors and Seniors) and Thursday, August 17th (Seniors ONLY) for Dual Credit college classes.
The coaches are aware of who will not be in athletics these mornings. Class times will be on their schedules they pick up this week as well.
Wednesday, August 16th-Juniors 7:50 am - 9:30 am - US History
Wednesday, August 16th- Seniors 9:40 am - 11:20 am - Government
Thursday, August 17th-Seniors 7:50 am - 9:30 am College Algebra and
9:40 am - 11:20 am - English
If any students are taking additional classes on their own, they need to make sure to take care of those classes as well for this week.

Please use the main parking lot and the cafeteria entrance when you come to pick up your Chromebooks and class schedules. The front drive and entrance of the high school is closed until further notice due to the work being done to the middle school portable buildings.
