This year, we had 85 Trenton ISD students and siblings on the district's Angel Tree. Through the generosity of TISD staff, students, and community members, we collected enough donations to provide for these individuals. A special thanks goes out to Ms. Warren, Mr. Damian, Mrs. Logan, the middle school Student Council, along with Mrs. Alexander and the high school Leadership Team for playing a major role in making sure that Christmas will be a little more special for those on the Angel Tree. Thank you to Coach Garewal for volunteering to drive the bus so our middle school Student Council could go shopping for the Angel Tree and a BIG thank you to everyone that donated. #TigersTogether is more than just a hashtag. It’s who we are each and every day. Thank you again to everyone that played a part in meeting the needs for the children on this year's Angel Tree. #TigersTogether

Parents Night Out
Today was a pretty special day for Trenton ISD. This morning, we had a Beam Signing with our Kindergarten and Senior classes. Our seniors helped the kindergartners sign their names on a beam that will be exposed in the new gymnasium. Then the seniors were able to sign their names on the beam. Throughout the remainder of the day, all the high school students, and district staff members signed their names on the beam. Members of the Trenton ISD board of trustees along with representatives from HWH Construction joined us for this beam signing. A special thank you to HWH Construction and BWA Architects for working with us on this special project. Great things are happening in Trenton ISD! #TigersTogether #NoPlaceBetter

TISD Construction Update: We are seeing great progress at both the elementary and high school construction sites. The elementary site is finishing the underground utilities and being prepared to have the concrete slab poured in the very near future. The high school is really starting to take shape with walls, windows, and portions of the roof system being installed. Great things are happening in Trenton ISD! #TigersTogether #NoPlaceBetter

This week TISD has been stuffed with Thanksgiving cheer! Our students have participated in multiple Thanksgiving activities and lessons across the district. On Thursday, our amazing Food Service department prepared a traditional Thanksgiving meal with turkey and dressing. Today, TISD board members Austen Barnes and Rob Sutton handed out birthday cakes to our staff members celebrating birthdays for the months of October, November, and December. On top of all this, thanks to the unwavering support of all our TISD board members, we handed out over $100,000 in Holiday Happiness today. All TISD staff members received a special holiday stipend as we head into the Thanksgiving break. Our hearts are full and we are blessed to be Trenton Tigers! #NoPlaceBetter We hope all our families have a great Thanksgiving! #TigersTogether

TES NOVEMBER STAFF SPOTLIGHT THIRD GRADE TEAM - Lisa Kellner, Christina Davis, Jennifer Nager Christina Davis does a great job rewarding our students for good behavior. She also encourages the kids to work hard in Progress Learning. We have a lot of students leveling up and motivated to learn. Lisa Kellner has shared some great tools to help me with reading. She knows how to manage data and helps our kids set goals and see their progress. I appreciate Kellner’s willingness to take photos and share the awesome work 3rd grade is doing with our families. Jennifer Nager is such a positive influential role model to the students. The students love her and her positive attitude, and she loves her students like they are her own children. Nager is always willing to help - with planning, prepping, and all teaching logistics. She is the best at enforcing the Tiger ROAR and works so hard to make sure our students are successful.

TES NOVEMBER STUDENT LEADERS Damon Mendoza - 4th Grade and Yarizdel Garcia - 3rd Grade Damon Mendoza is a star student. Damon is very respectful and comes to class every morning with a positive attitude, ready to get his work done. He is a very hard worker and does his best to go that extra mile. Damon is always ready and willing to help his teachers and fellow classmates without question. He continues to impress me daily. - (Pamela Slough - 4th Grade Reading) Yari is a great example of what it means to have a Tiger ROAR. Yari is a responsible leader in the classroom. She follows school rules and is a role model for others. She shows ownership by using her time wisely in class and completing her homework. In fact, Yari completed her entire math packet for the month in just one day! Yari has a great attitude. I love when she participates in class and shares her ideas. Yari treats others with kindness and respect, and enjoys helping others. I am honored to have Yari in my class this year. (Jennifer Nager - 3rd Grade Reading)
